Creating the software & data engineering team (from Pre-Seed to Series A). - Set engineering practices and tooling for continuous improvement culture: deployments/rollbacks, testing, planning, monitoring/alerting, etc. - Design and implement the whole software stack of the company: API layer, databases, 3rd party integrations, cloud infra, mobile app, etc. - Architect and implement a high-throughput, fault-tolerant system to synchronize Shopify entity model with the data warehouse in near real-time. - Single data engineer working on: datawarehouse definition, data pipelines, data quality and monitoring, semantic search and recommendation models: (AI sentence transformers, vector/embedding databases, LLMs with RAG...) - Set no-code strategy to democratize internal apps creation. Chose Retool as no/low-code tool, deliver trainings on Retool, basic JS, and SQL. 35 internal tools created by non-tech teams in the first 2 months. - Set the strategy for mobile apps: chose ReactNative to deploy iOS/Android apps with one single developer in just 2 months.

Leading all software engineering efforts in the company. Started as technical co-founder until post-acquisition stage. - As first (data) engineer I implemented the first versions of the data platform: following DataOps principles, created main pipelines and ETLs, set up cloud infra (GCP, DataFlow), data governance & metadata infra, monitoring and alerting, data-lake definition, ML models deployments, continuous web-scrapping efforts. Serving KPIs in production from big datasets (billions of rows) with only 2 major outages in 5 years. - As manager Close care of ICs and engineering managers (15 ICs, 4 EMs): weekly 1-1, personal growth plan, conflicts resolutions, mentoring and coaching, and everything needed to keep the team motivated, retained, and continuously learning and growing. Also contribute to product planning, cost/benefit trade-offs, identify and breakdown dependencies. Depending on the stage of the company, I balanced towards maximizing delivery, quality, market-fit or performance.
