About

I help technology companies build and scale high-impact communications: shaping narratives, creating content that drives engagement, and integrating AI to extend what teams can do. As Deputy Head of Communications and Marketing at Filecoin Foundation, I led global storytelling around decentralized infrastructure, from Davos announcements to media relationships to content spotlighting the Filecoin ecosystem. My path is unusually broad. I started my career at the U.S. House of Representatives, worked at a top D.C. lobbying firm, then trained as a lawyer at Seattle University, home to one of the country's top legal writing programs. That legal and policy still shapes my approach to communications: straightforward but persuasive. Over the past decade, I've led communications at agencies and in-house across consumer products, events, SaaS, venture capital, and Web3, with companies ranging from early-stage startups to Waymo and WhatsApp. My goal is simple: make complex technology human and relevant. If you're building something ambitious and need a strong communications foundation, let's connect.

Experience

  • Deputy Head of Communications and Marketing at Filecoin Foundation
    Sep 2021 - Present · 4 yrs 10 mos

I lead communications and marketing for Filecoin Foundation, where my job is to demystify decentralized storage for builders, enterprise partners, and mainstream audiences alike. I built out the narrative framework, crisis playbook, and executive positioning that anchor FF and FFDW across the Web3 ecosystem. That means owning brand narrative, content strategy, executive communications, and media relations for a network spanning decentralized AI, DePIN, and the infrastructure powering the open web. A few things I've gotten to do here: - Orchestrated announcements with Harvard Library Innovation Lab, the Internet Archive, Lockheed Martin, and Rolling Stone - Oversaw hundreds of executive speaking opportunities and led press strategy for moments like Davos, landing coverage in CNBC, Fortune, Politico, and The Wall Street Journal - Built the content and marketing engine across digital, events, newsletter, and social - Advised 30+ ecosystem partners on how to tell sharper, more credible stories about decentralized infrastructure About Filecoin Foundation: We steward the long-term growth of the Filecoin network and the broader movement to build a more open, resilient internet, powered by decentralized storage, a model where data lives across a global network of independent providers instead of a handful of corporate clouds.
