De commissie accreditaties van de RvA bestaat uit vier leden, die door de raad van toezicht worden benoemd. Dat gebeurt op basis van hun deskundigheid op de accreditatiegebieden, hun integriteit en hun onafhankelijkheid. De commissie accreditaties vergadert eens per maand. Zij heeft als taak de raad van bestuur te adviseren over het verlenen van accreditaties. Daarnaast heeft zij de bevoegdheid te adviseren over schorsingen of intrekkingen van accreditaties. De commissie wordt geïnformeerd over de door het bestuur genomen maatregelen en sancties tegen organisaties. The Accreditation Committee consists of four members who are appointed by the Supervisory Board on the basis of their expertise in the field of accreditations, their integrity and their independence. The Accreditation Committee meets once per month. Its task is to advise the Executive Board about the award of accreditations. In addition, it is authorised to provide advice about suspensions or withdrawals of accreditations. The Committee is informed about the measures taken by the Executive Board and of the sanctions imposed on organisations.
The Stichting Simonsfonds was set up on 18th September 1975 by the Dutch Federation for Anthropogenetics with a legacy from the Amsterdam lawyer and curator Mr. Joseph Eugène Simons (1890-1936). The foundation’s capital consists of what the late Mr. Joseph Eugène Simons, who died in Amsterdam on February 8, 1936, bequeathed to the Dutch Federation for Anthropogenetics, then named: Dutch Eugenic Federation, under his will dated 6 February 12, 1932, executed before A.M. Stichting 21 maart Gouda staat voor antidiscriminatie, antiracisme en gelijkheid in een inclusieve samenleving, waar de burgers elkaar respecteren en accepteren zoals ze zijn. De Stichting heeft een aantal kernactiviteiten: • het organiseren van lezingen rondom de kernthema's discriminatie & racisme en tolerantie & respect • het organiseren van ontmoetingsmaaltijden om onze diversiteit te laten zien en met elkaar in dialoog te gaan • het vergroten van het bewustzijn over de thema's van de stichting onder kinderen van het basisonderwijs door middel van ons Tolerantielespakket
As a result of the UMC Utrecht Biobank Regulations adopted by the Board of Directors in 2013, the Biobank Research Ethics Committee (BREC, in Dutch: Toetsingscommissie Biobanken – TCBio, hereafter: the Committee) was appointed by the UMC Utrecht Board of Directors. The Committee operates independently from the Central Biobank UMC Utrecht. The latter is responsible for the monitoring of the quality, the registration and the storage of the human biological material as sub-biobanks.
