Network administrator responsible for the design, configuration, and maintenance of the network infrastructure for the main hospital and its multiple clinics throughout the city, primarily including Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls, and Proofpoint email protection appliances. Other duties include: Routing and switching networks, Avaya IP telephony, and Aruba Wi-Fi. General roles and responsibilities: Network infrastructure ownership of various buildings and remote campuses: o Complete ownership of network influenced systems: routing, switching, IP telephony, all wireless devices including laptops, mobile devices, biomedical, and facilities-oriented devices, UPS administration and maintenance, as well as physical MDF/IDF needs o Design and configuration of new campuses for expansion projects o Work with ISPs for circuit connectivity and turn-ups Project planning: o Estimate projected network impact for new projects, provide solutions, and support implementation efforts during all phases: review, design, implementation, go-live, post go-live support, etc. o Publish technical documentation including traffic flow diagrams, operational procedures and troubleshooting guides Daily operations: o Participate in an on-call and night-call rotation acting as primary responder to network tickets, outages, as well as assist other teams by providing traffic behavior and flow information to assist in troubleshooting efforts
• Installation and decommissioning of servers, racks, switches, routers, KVMs, cable trays. Cisco Nexus 7k, 2k, 6500, and ASR series routers and switches HP C7000 chassis, DL and BL series servers, Dell, SUN/Oracle • Network cabling (CAT(5/6), fiber, DS3, T1, SAN, Patches, Trunks, Network Taps etc) Preparation of cabling including port allocation/ management, and labeling Running cables and trunks according to network needs • Network/Server troubleshooting Troubleshoot halted server and connectivity issues on OSI layers 1-3 according to server/network admin requirements • Participate in coordinated effort phone conferences as on-site support for both troubleshooting and upgrade procedures. • Out-of-band configuration and troubleshooting(HP iLO, Dell DRAC, SUN/Oracle ILOM) • Initial configuration of monitoring equipment: Copper and fiber network taps, Netscout/Onpath, Gigastor monitoring devices.

Operate and maintain CAT G3616 generators, circuit switch gear, etc Maintain plant network, WAN/Satellite internet functionality Set-up/maintain remote access systems, network drives Troubleshoot and repair various systems relating to power plant operations Serve as a 24/7 on-call operator/first responder Serve as Inventory specialist, keeping current inventory of consumables, tools and required parts as included with PM’s and major equipment overhauls
