Hi! My name is Jordan Ng and I am a fourth year Managerial Economics major, Accounting and Technology Management double minor at the University of California, Davis. I graduated from Lowell High School in 2022. I am currently working for the Academic Assistance and Tutoring Centers as an Academic Tutor. Last summer I had the opportunity to intern at VRwaibao Japan in Tokyo. I have worked for UC Dining Services, was a member of the Economics and Business Student Association (EBSA), and was an active member of Alpha Phi Omega on campus.
• Facilitated intake interviews and built trust with clients regarding all income, deductions, and credits shown on forms including W-2s, 1099s, and 1098-T • Prepared taxpayers’ federal and state tax returns using TaxSlayer software while answering tax related questions • Worked with peer volunteers and site coordinations to ensure high accuracy during Quality Reviews and cross-referencing documents • Earned IRS Advanced Tax Law Certification through Advanced tax law, Volunteer Standards of Conduct, and Intake, Interview, and Quality Review examinations
• Tutoring for Intermediate/Introductory Economics courses • Working simultaneously with peers and tutors drop-in sessions • Responding to tutee’s questions and concerns with quick, analytical thinking regarding coursework
• Launched LinkedIn, Instagram, and X accounts, creating social media engagement and brand visibility • Designing storyboards and visual layouts for art exhibitions within project goals and budget for VR gallery space • Securing partnerships with local artists to feature their work, using networking skills to expand outreach
