Maersk Line and its affiliated brands Safmarine, Seago and MCC are putting more focus on Out Of Gauge cargo and Breakbulk shipments. For this purpose regional offices are set up in Shanghai, Charlotte and Rotterdam to deal with quotations, business development and procurement of services of the Special Cargo segment, reporting into the global Trade & Marketing function but closely working with the country clusters in the area. The Rotterdam office will cover bookings from ports in Europe, Middle-East and Africa.
Driving and executing Terminal Partnering, in line with Maersk Line's strategy to differentiate on On Time Delivery and Unmatched Reliability. As such positioned as linking pin between Maersk Line departments and terminals in Rotterdam, focusing on all areas with a potential impact on port stay reduction such as terminal's productivity/efficiency and optimising processes around vessel port stay (pilotage, towage, bunkering etc.).
Responsible for Inland Transport planning/execution, Equipment planning/execution including Claims, Maintenance & Repair activities, Landside Operations and US Military customer service and transport, covering The Netherlands and Switzerland. Port Operations covers the vessel husbandry and procurement of seaside related activities (port authorities, terminals, pilots, towage etc.)
