Jim is a global technology, entertainment & AI executive who has built, scaled & acquired some of the world’s most influential interactive entertainment businesses, platforms & products. Having held senior leadership roles across both Western and Chinese companies, he brings an unique on-the-ground perspective on building global products, organizations and businesses across markets; reaching users globally & through all platforms. He has identified and led the execution of numerous organic and M&A opportunities in interactive entertainment. He most recently served as President of HoYoverse (Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero). Previously, Jim held senior strategy, investment, operating and product roles across Supercell, Tencent and Riot Games, with deep experience spanning corporate development/M&A, portfolio management, capital allocation, studio leadership, global expansion, GTM and organizational leadership. Earlier in his career, he was a founding team member & private equity investor at PAG Asia Capital and an investment banker at Morgan Stanley. In recent years, Jim has also spent significant time building at the intersection of AI and consumer/interactive entertainment, with a particular interest in how AI-native technologies are reshaping consumer, media & entertainment platforms, healthcare, education & company operations.
