I currently lead security operations for a mission-critical environment, overseeing a team of 60+ security professionals and more than 1,850 contracted hours each week. My responsibilities span security operations, workforce management, operational planning, and the continuous improvement of both people and processes. What motivates me most is leadership. I enjoy developing people, helping them grow, and recognizing those who consistently go the extra mile to improve not only themselves, but the team around them. I’m naturally drawn to solving operational problems and optimizing the way things are done. Whether it’s making a process simpler, faster, or more effective, I believe there’s almost always a better way. I’m not a fan of “it’s always been done this way.” I enjoy challenging the status quo, troubleshooting complex issues, and building practical solutions that make sense. Responsible for the overall management and performance of security operations within a critical infrastructure data center environment. Lead a team of more than 60 security professionals and oversee approximately 1,850 contracted security hours per week, ensuring operational readiness, compliance, and service excellence. Manage staffing, recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development while maintaining strong partnerships with client stakeholders. Direct incident response, risk mitigation initiatives, physical security programs, and operational planning to support business continuity and the protection of critical assets. Drive a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement while ensuring adherence to security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
I act as the Manager’s right hand and a key member of the site leadership team, supporting daily operations, workforce administration, and site coordination. I work closely with HR, training, compliance, and client stakeholders to support recruitment, onboarding, performance tracking, and process improvement. My role focuses on enabling leadership effectiveness, strengthening structure, and ensuring operational continuity and efficiency.
Co-founded and helped build Canada’s largest strength sports facility, leading the organization from startup through sustained growth. Oversaw business operations, financial planning, strategic initiatives, staff development, partnerships, and large-scale event execution while helping establish one of Canada’s leading strength sport communities. Worked alongside a multidisciplinary ownership team to develop scalable systems, improve operational efficiency, and support long-term organizational growth. Key Responsibilities & Achievements • Co-founded and scaled Canada’s largest strength sports facility. • Directed day-to-day business operations, financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation. • Developed operational policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and performance standards to improve consistency and accountability. • Led strategic planning initiatives, contributing to business growth, long-term vision, and organizational decision-making. • Managed stakeholder relationships across ownership, coaches, members, vendors, sponsors, and external partners. • Negotiated commercial partnerships, sponsorships, and vendor agreements. • Recruited, mentored, and developed coaches while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. • Planned and executed provincial and national-level strength sport competitions and community events. • Optimized operational workflows, identified process improvements, and implemented solutions to improve efficiency and member experience. • Contributed to marketing initiatives, brand development, and business expansion strategies.
Served in progressive leadership and technical roles supporting domestic and NATO operations through secure tactical communications, satellite communications (SATCOM), and mission-critical information systems. Led specialized communications teams responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and protection of secure communications infrastructure while ensuring operational readiness in high-tempo environments. Developed expertise in leadership, personnel development, operational planning, physical security, cryptographic systems, and information assurance. Highlights • Led communication detachments and multidisciplinary teams in operational environments. • Selected as a Sentinel peer supporter, promoting mental health awareness and providing frontline support to fellow service members. • Served as Unit Communication Systems Subject Matter Expert for 3rd Battalion, Royal 22e Régiment. • Deployed to Latvia in support of NATO’s Operation REASSURANCE as the Satellite Communications and Cryptographic Security Subject Matter Expert. • Managed secure communications infrastructure, cryptographic systems, and tactical satellite communications supporting mission-critical operations. • Planned, coordinated, and maintained tactical communications capabilities across multiple operational exercises and deployments. • Specialized in SATCOM, tactical communications, secure mobile anti-jam systems, HF communications, and information assurance. • Qualified Unit Security Supervisor responsible for enforcing security standards and safeguarding sensitive information and assets. • Recognized as a Unit Corporal of the Year Nominee (2023). • Awarded the Special Service Medal for operational service in Latvia.
