lead R&T engineer at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology and has over 15 years’ experience in the field of anaerobic bioprocess and wastewater treatment. My research focuses on: · Optimisation of bioprocess by developing tools and knowhow to enhance microbial activities and methane yield. In my previous projects, I worked on the role of trace nutrients in the methanogens’ activity and on the optimisation of the reactor design. · Integration of bioprocess to resolve the nexus water/energy/food in remote and decentralized areas. The objective is to use bioreactors that link different processes and create beneficial synergies. My research focuses on closed loop system, digestate valorisation and smart grid. · Developing novel solution to support wastewater treatment sector regarding removal of emerging contaminant with decentralized wastewater treatment, anaerobic bioprocesses and bioactivated carbon.
