I reported directly to the President of the company. I was responsible for adding efficiencies to the manufacturing and management processes. I worked in the following business sections: Warehouse (Raw Materials & Finished Goods), Production, Quality Control, and IT.
As an Instructional Technologist, I assessed the technology needs of local businesses, non-profits, and government agencies and suggested improvement areas. After the assessment, it was my responsibility to develop and provide customized training courses. In addition to working with outside organizations, I was also responsible for developing learning programs to help faculty introduce technology into their teaching experience. This effort might be as simple as helping someone develop PowerPoint presentations or assisting them in developing a digital gradebook. Or, more complex efforts, like helping them develop an internet course.
