A visible and approachable leader, Jim retired from Entente Education Canada (formerly RTOERO) in December 2025. This is an organization dedicated to offering its 88,000 members superb and affordable health benefits. In June 2026 Jim was elected to the Canadian Foundation for Economic Education (CFEE) Board. As well, Jim was appointed in June 2026 as a Professional Associate with Governance Solutions. In September, 2026 Jim will assume the role of President/Chair the Board of Directors for Child Development Resource Connection Peel (CDRCP). Prior to joining Entente Education Canada, Jim was Assistant Deputy Minister of Education, responsible for the implementation of full-day kindergarten and child care modernization in Ontario and prior to that role, he served as Director of Education in Ottawa Carleton DSB and Peel DSB. Jim is internationally recognized as an engaging and motivational speaker on the early years.. He has delivered numerous keynotes to national and international conferences hosted by the World Bank, UNESCO and the OECD. Specialties include keynote speeches on leadership, strategic planning, early childhood learning and development, innovation and change management.
