Cullman Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is a $120MM full service medical center located in northern Alabama. It is the recipient of the American Heart Association (AHA) triple gold award for Coronary Artery Disease, Stroke, and Heart Failure. It is recognized as a Top 100 Hot Wired Hospital (2008 & 2009), a Top 100 Value Index Hospital (DataAdvantage 2009), and a market leader serving a 150,000 population. In July 2009, CRMC acquired its cross-town rival hospital Woodland Medical Center and closed the facility, moving all inpatient and outpatient volume to the modern CRMC campus. St. Charles is a full service, $120MM net revenue hospital with 1.200 employees serving Port Jefferson, NY on Long Island. It was a leader in orthopedic surgery & inpatient rehabilation and was part of Catholic Health Service of Long Island. Position had full responsibility for all operational aspects of the hospital including nursing, human resources, all inpatient and outpatient activities, and strategic planning.
Mercy Providence Hospital was a 144 bed hospital and was part of Pittsburgh Mercy Health System. It served the north side of Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Weidner was promoted to this position and was responsible for all operational and strategic initiatives. He had full bottom-line responsibility. During his tenure, he instituted staffing metrics, a hospitalist program, moved the Family Practice Residency program to the hospital, and started a successful gero-psych program.
