Evaluates and demonstrates airworthiness of newly constructed E-2D aircraft and modified or repaired F-5 aircraft via test flights. Consults with engineering and maintenance personnel and prepares recommendations concerning equipment and performance discrepancies. Provides cradle-to-grave life cycle support of aerospace systems via program management, test and evaluation, fleet support with the goal of improved current and future readiness for the Naval Aviation Enterprise. Tests the F-5 aircraft to determine compliance with specification and operational suitability. Operates the F-5 aircraft during return to flight tests, production acceptance, and flight test support through specifically prescribed tests and maneuvers. Coordinates flight operations efforts. Approves cockpit configuration. Able to train and demonstrate flights to customers, government officials, or other personnel aboard to exhibit aircraft performance, flying qualities and system capabilities.
