As the Chairman, CEO, and Co-Founder of AssuredPartners, I have led the company since its origin in 2011. AssuredPartners was founded to be the partner of choice for insurance agency perpetuation, and we are now the 11th largest broker of U.S. business with more than 250 offices in 38 states as well as London, England. Through AssuredPartners I have been fortunate enough to play a role in creating personal and professional growth and opportunity for those that are constantly raising the tide for each other. I’ve come to learn how valuable it is to listen to and respect others’ input and continue to take steps that keep myself learning daily. Throughout my life, alongside many talented members, I have had the pleasure of serving on several public, private, and non-profit boards including Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida Association of Insurance Agents, Florida State University, Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers, and Ronald McDonald House. These experiences have all brought me a sense of giving back; in particular, witnessing and being a part of the moving and impactful stories of the families who stayed at the Ronald McDonald House. Making a difference for others has provided a valuable perspective on values that will last me a lifetime. My greatest accomplishment, and the one of which I am the proudest, is my family, including my wife of 50 years, children, and grandchildren. Whether it’s time together at home, or getting together on a ski trip, being with them is rewarding for me. I also find rewarding time spent biking and have great enjoyment from riding my Harley Davidson. My best golf joke is “the older I get, the better I used to be.” AssuredPartners is able to constantly grow and be successful through our culture of great people, who are helpful, welcoming, and ready to turn ideas into action and dreams into reality. I look forward to the years ahead, learning and working hard to continue to do better and be more deliberate with our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts.
