About

I capture history. When asked, that is how I answer the question: "what do you for a living/? " I've been there since the start, when some of Catholic Television's efforts were "best KEPT secret" to a time we were the diocese's " BEST KEPT SECRET" and eventually, to a time, Bishop Joseph O" Keefe's funeral mass, that Msgr. Robert Yeazel remarked: "this is OUR tv doing this." Just to witness the big events, installations, ordinations, a bishop's funeral, all the centennial year events has been wonderful-and I hope to participate in the production of many more- but we need to transfer the tapes to digital storage so that they can be used as historical reference material or just viewed by future generations. In a similar vein, the privilege of watching thousands receive their diplomas, to witness the Le Moyne College Singers experience Rome and Ireland, to be at the first performance of the Jazz Ensemble, to be present at the inauguration of a college president are thrilling, but to realize that I was in charge of recording those events is an amazing feeling. In the twenty year plus history of cable 13, I had the opportunity to work as a crew member, producer, and director of a wide variety of programs: high school and college sports, movie review shows, arts and music programs, and a plethora of talk shows. I may have directed more programs than anyone else for that channel yet I never was a full time employee of either cable company that programmed Cable 13. Specialties: producing, directing, consulting, teaching

Experience

  • director, consultant at self-employed
    Mar 2003 - Present · 23 yrs 4 mos

I'm trying to keep active in television production even though I am dealing with secondary progressive MS. I'm looking for 5 -10 hours per week to keep my skills sharp and my mind engaged. Too much work is not good for my health. But I still produce/direct Le Moyne's commencement and direct tv mass tapings as often as I can.
