About

Strategic development and built‑environment leader with career spanning architecture, construction, development, plc. housebuilding and large‑scale social housing. I specialise in shaping commercially robust development and strategic asset management strategies and leading high‑performing teams to deliver complex projects with confidence. Working at Director level within a top‑six UK housing association, I was the strategic lead for an enterprise-wide strategy across asset investment and innovation, regulatory compliance and sustainability - bringing people, insight, technical and commercial rigour together to de‑risk delivery and add long‑term value. My experience includes, development, regeneration, place-making, construction, asset management, de-carbonisation and digital transformation. I’m known for collaborative, relationship‑centred leadership and for embedding integrated thinking into projects that balance quality, cost, risk and long‑term performance. I’m passionate about creating well‑designed, safe, climate‑resilient and commercially successful homes and places and exploring innovative 'Energy as a Service' investment models that support long-term financial sustainability.

Experience

  • Director for the Built Environment at SNG (formerly Sovereign Housing Association)
    Dec 2022 - Jul 2026 · 3 yrs 8 mos

Enterprise-wide lead in the operationalisation of SNG’s industry leading Homes and Place Standard - underpinning our £9.4b Strategic Asset Management and Development Investment Strategy, to deliver 25,000 new homes and retrofit 15,000 existing homes through to 2035. Strategic lead in all aspects of the built environment including, design, place-making, sustainability, technical, commercial, construction, quality assurance and aftercare teams. This leadership role stretches across asset sustainability, operations, innovation and R&D where I led the team to secure a total of £45m DESNEZ grant funding. Having supported delivery of a £49m SHDF Wave 2.1 retrofit delivery programme (1,000 homes) I then directed the procurement and delivery of SNG's £200m WH:SHF Wave 3 whole house smart retrofit programme (4,500 homes) - each underpinned by digital and process transformation to drive operational effectiveness and enhance resident outcomes. With the strategic aim to de-risk and future-proof a safe climate-resilient SNG portfolio, I support Development, Strategic Asset Management and ESG investment planning to de-carbonise 84,000 existing homes and map a regulatory-compliant investment pathway to net zero. Strategic lead in retrofit partnership negotiations and innovative off-balance sheet investment opportunities, balancing enterprise-risk with long term financial resilience.
