Jillian Berman is a skilled trial and appellate lawyer, and represents individuals and companies in connection with investigations by the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, FINRA and other regulatory agencies. Ms. Berman previously served as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York for nine years, where she tried many cases and argued numerous appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Ms. Berman clerked for the Hon. Dennis Jacobs of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Hon. Richard L. Williams of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and practiced complex commercial litigation at Covington & Burling LLP in Washington D.C. Ms. Berman graduated from the University of Chicago Law School and Cornell University. From 2012-14, she also served as a Lecturer-in-Law at Columbia Law School, where she co-taught a course on federal prosecution.
