Toronto, Ontario, Canada
I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Toronto. My research area lies in the field of public transportation, with a focus on workforce planning and scheduling. My research supervisors are Professors Amer Shalaby and Merve Bodur. I previously worked for San Francisco Municipal Transit Agency, the agency that oversees public transportation in the City and County of San Francisco. There, I was responsible for making drawings for a bus lane construction project. I also attended public hearings to learn about various stakeholders' opinions about a proposed bus priority corridor. I got my master's degree from University of California, Berkeley and bachelor's degree from University of British Columbia, both in civil engineering. While achieving academic excellence myself, I took opportunities to help others succeed as well. I worked as an one-on-one tutor at UBC. During my time at UC Berkeley, I served as a Graduate Student Instructor.
