Roles at Sustainability Assurance and Advisory services: -Pioneered the design and revamp of GHG emissions calculator including Scope 1, 2 and all 15 categories of Scope 3 emissions for companies operating in the oil palm plantation sector. -Spearheaded the review of clients' sustainability policies and manuals, ensuring appropriate reporting boundaries, consistent application of key definitions across different countries, and development of reporting flowcharts for streamlined data collection and reporting process. - Led the review of client existing GHG emissions baselines, inventories and emission factors in alignment with GHG Protocol Standards, SBTi criteria and ESRS requirements. - Co-led a team of 15 in evaluating over 45 companies' sustainability/ annual integrated reports for a national Sustainability Reporting Award, assessing quality of disclosures, material sustainability matters, sustainability and climate change strategy. - Co-led sustainability reporting gap assessments and provided strategic recommendations based on Bursa Sustainability Reporting Guide and TCFD framework.
Roles at Sustainability and Climate Change: - Core team member delivering sustainability assurance in compliance with ISAE 3000 standards, including preparation of sustainability reports in alignment with the Bursa Sustainability Reporting Guide for listed companies in telecommunications, oil palm plantations and industrial sectors. Focused on selected indicators such as GHG emissions (Scope 1, 2 and 3), energy consumption including renewable energy, health and safety, waste management and community investment. - Led key procedures such as walkthroughs of the methodologies and processes of sustainability reporting; provided recommendations on data integrity, internal control, governance & oversights. Roles at Audit & Assurance: - Performed external audit and reviewed financial statements for clients in the Entrepreneurial & Middle Market Group (EMG) in accordance to IFRS, MFRS and MPERS. - Senior in charge in engagement from various industries ranging from property development, manufacturing, trading and retail (listed to SMEs). - Identified and resolved audit and accounting issues, escalating to superiors up to engagement partners as well as guiding junior team member in performing audit procedures. - Led the team in identifying internal control deficiencies through control testing and test of detail, discuss audit issues and findings to develop effective solutions for clients. - Extensive knowledge in the field of accounting, auditing and finance including MFRS, IFRS MPERS principles and standards. - Fair exposure to SAP tools and reports - Point of contact between PwC team and external client team and ensure audit timelines are agreed mutually and met whilst regularly updating status of the audit to both parties.
