I am a fourth-year dwarf student pharmacist and PharmD candidate at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy, originally from Shanghai, China. I am passionate about rare disease research. I am also an advocate raising awareness for people living with dwarfism and all other disabilities.
-Assist in documenting patients’ prior-to-admission medication histories. -Assist in checking dispensed medications. -Assist in checking tray kits.
-Assisted in research on the link between drug therapy and magnetic fields, including magnetic drug delivery and research on Paclitaxel.
-Assisted in research on understanding differences among similar-kind pharmaceutical products manufactured by multiple pharmaceuticals. -Products researched included Flixonase, Nasonex, Caltrate and Centrum.
-Assisted in team meetings and discussions about the team projects including formulations of different medications and engaging in the analysis of experimental data. -Tested new samples with facilities such as DSC, PLM, and SEM under the supervision given by the head of development & formulation research. -Performed benchwork for data gathering and structuring for the analysis of the experiments for the facility. -Analyzed and verified the data with colleagues and the head of the department of Development and Formulation Research. -Trained recruits by producing instructional videos for the company to provide instructions on facilities operation.
