At Wilbeans Coffee, I worked as a barista, where I was responsible for setting up and operating the coffee machine each day, preparing a variety of high-quality coffee beverages for customers. In addition to front-of-house duties, I also supported kitchen operations by making sandwiches and helping with food prep. My role involved regular cleaning tasks, including dishwashing and maintaining a clean and organised work environment. Through daily interaction with customers, I developed strong customer service skills and learned how to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. This position also helped me improve my coffee-making techniques and expand my knowledge of café operations.
I reflect on an incredibly rewarding internship filled with growth and learning. This experience has allowed me to dive deep into the world of public relations, enhancing my skills in digital marketing, content development, and stakeholder engagement. Working with such a talented team has not only sharpened my practical skills but also inspired me to pursue a career in PR and marketing communications.
