I lead risk-based data monitoring across clinical studies, ensuring adherence to protocols and data standards. As a subject-matter expert on KRIs and QTLs, I collaborate with clinical operations, biostatistics, and data management teams to drive actionable insights.
In addition: - Led risk-based data quality (RBQM) monitoring across clinical studies, ensuring protocol and data standard compliance - Serve as a subject-matter expert (SME) on Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Quality Tolerance Limits (QTLs), advising clients on Integrated Quality Management Plans (IQMPs). - Collaborated cross-functionally with client teams (e.g., Clinical Ops, Biostats, Data Management) to drive data review and issue resolution - Key contributor of GSK co-developed Medical Safety Review platform; supporting study teams in identifying key safety review data and developing effective visualizations for ongoing medical and safety review.
- Configure and perform risk-based statistical analyses to identify and interpret anomalies in clinical trial data. - Process and analyze data using SAS (SAS SQL, SAS Macro) to manipulate, clean, and integrate data from multiple sources, e.g., EDC systems, additional/vendor data sources (ePro, eCOA, etc.), and operational (Audit Trial, Queries) data. - Act as primary point of contact for multiple client accounts, providing ongoing analytical support in both English and Japanese.
Project: American Family Health Survey - Applied advanced statistical methods, including Latent Class Analysis and weighting techniques, to generate insights on reproductive health and deliver formal analytical reports. - Led end-to-end data management, including cleaning, wrangling, merging multi-source datasets, and resolving data integrity issues using R, Stata, and SAS.
- Applied machine learning models to predict voter behavior in the 2022 primary election, improving model accuracy by 16% and supporting data-driven voter targeting strategies - Designed sampling frames using U.S. Census data and programmed surveys in Qualtrics and REDCap. - Evaluated inter-coder reliability using statistical methods and refined survey instruments to improve measurement validity. - Built data visualizations and dashboards using R (ggplot2) and Tableau to communicate insights to clients.
- Conducted extensive semi-structured interviews to gather data on internet addiction treatment centers across China. - Authored a comprehensive manuscript detailing research findings and insights. - Published an article based on research and presented at major academic conferences, including the 85th Annual Conference of the Midwest Sociology Association.
Recipient of the Integrated Human Sciences Program (IHS) for Cultural Diversity Fellowship funded by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). - Led a research project examining the impact of pop culture on youth political attitudes, designing surveys and conducting focus group interviews. - Presented findings at the 77th American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR), the field’s primary international conference. - Developed interview protocols and conducted mixed-research on internet addiction treatment programs in China.
