• Produced short and long-form Race and Culture feature and accountability stories for broadcast, digital and social platforms • Launched "Heritage month profiles" initiative to amplify community voices, a cornerstone of our team content • Employed outreach and engagement strategies to cultivate strong relationships with diverse communities, which resulted in more than 1,500 Race and Culture stories and contributed to a database of nearly 500 community members and leaders • Helped lead a voter engagement project for 2022 and 2024 elections aimed at engaging underrepresented voters in low voter turnout areas, addressing informational gaps and empowering civic participation
• Produced across all dayside and nightside newscasts, developing keen understanding of targeted audiences • Reinvented 5:30p half-hour newscast to boost ratings by pitching and producing original, hyper-local content and regular segments • Championed stories for TEGNA’s first OTT special celebrating AANHPI Heritage Month • Helped direct local coverage plans during the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, producing feature and topical segments for newscasts
