I currently hold both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Structural Engineering from the University of California San Diego. I am also a licensed Civil Engineer. I held a full time position at POWER Engineers after having held various engineering and intern positions during my time at university. I employ advanced industry skills such as creative problem solving, superior group work, and maintaining proper schedule coordination. I worked as a Management Intern at the City of San Diego in Transportation Engineering working closely with professional engineers and the public to fulfill various traffic requests and resolve conflicts that may arise. I have even been recognized by my colleagues as able to easily understand new concepts, work very well independently and in high stress environments, and being a great team player and excellent communicator. I am always looking to develop my professional skills and experience.
● Worked directly under a Senior Project Engineer/Department Head and with various Project and Design Engineers ● Completed quality assurance, quality control, and signed off on plan checks ● Worked in PLS-CADD to create As-Built drawings for completed overhead lines ● Completed structural analysis for transmission steel pole changes ● Assisted in preparing submission packages and making records of projects for legal purposes and future reference ● Prepared and checked Plan & Profile drawings, material lists, ROW designations, and county encroachment permits ● Involved with field inspections to ensure proper electrical pole installation ● Responsible for transferring older design criteria into a company-wide Wiki repository ● Familiar with various electrical overhead line design standards, such as NESC, GO-95, and Sempra Energy (SDG&E)
