About

I have extensive experience in systems architecture design and implementation, high performance computing, cloud based architecture, parallel programming, website development, backend solution development, SQL, and NoSQL databases. As the CTO of a startup, I was able to gain a solid understanding of lean startup, principles of project management, agile software development, software engineering leadership, creating and managing budgets, and starting and growing a business. I have experience in reviewing, creating and obtaining patents as I was a key contributor to the intellectual property portfolio during my tenure at Validas. I was the original creator of Validas’ patented technology for analyzing wireless bills in real time via a SaaS-based service running in the Amazon cloud. I have a proven ability to take projects from inception and turn them into reality. I love solving hard problems and creating software that makes peoples lives easier. I originally taught myself how to code and then turned my passion into my career after receiving my bachelors degree in Information Technology. There's nothing like the feeling you get when you build a great product that makes a difference in someone else's life. While not working I enjoy spending time with my family, playing hockey and soccer as well as watching my favorite sports teams.
