• Provide expertise, support, and assist on the development, operation, and supervision of project specific Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs, plans, and management system components including policies, procedures, and work instructions. • Aid in developing, applying, and maintaining EHS Programs and training to eliminate workplace injuries and sustain compliance. • Assist with environmental compliance, hazardous waste, and solid waste requirements. • Conduct investigations into accidents, work-related injuries, and illnesses to develop mitigation plans to prevent recurrence. • Identify and promote positive workplace EHS practices, STOP work authority, and compliance to build and sustain a safety culture. • Assist EHS Manager in revising policies and procedures. • Coordinate safety team meetings to include notifications, agenda, meeting minutes, assignment, and follow up on action items. • Serve as a point of contact as an EHS SME for managers, engineering, maintenance, supervisors and floor employees. • Complete and record environmental compliance testing. • Provide requirements for PPE, including research of new/additional equipment as required. • Conduct new employee safety training, LOTO, contractor, and visitor training. • Assist with maintaining and updating corporate EHS tracking system. • Certified 24 Hour HAZWOPER, Certified Hazardous Waste Coordinator, and Certified Hazardous Material Technician.
