As the driving force behind the inception and development of innovative projects at ATEXIS, my role is multifaceted and dynamic. I am entrusted with the responsibility of pioneering initiatives that push the boundaries of technology and create tangible value for our clients. One of my key projects involves the creation of a state-of-the-art chatbots for training purposes, utilizing the power of Large Language Models (LLM). This involves the intricate process of analysing user needs, research the best open-source models and design the best architecture to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, I work with Speech-to-Text and Text-to-Speech technologies, integrating them seamlessly to enhance the chatbot's functionality. To add a layer of realism and improve user interaction, I also incorporate realistic 3D avatars into the system. In the realm of Virtual Reality, I am leading the development of procedure training on the Quest2 platform. This project is characterized by its innovative use of hand tracking technology, which ensures immediate adoption and enhances the user experience. The procedures are based on JSON files, a strategic choice that allows for the rapid production of simulations and ensures a swift turnaround time. In essence, my role is a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and creative problem-solving, all aimed at harnessing technology to create innovative solutions that drive progress and add value.

Working for the Knowledge Management Service in CATEC, I support the Technological Areas promoting, coordinating and/or managing R&D and innovation projects at national and international level. The Service is managing at the moment three EU funded projects: ARCAS, EC-SAFEMOBIL and MUAC-IREN, with an aggregated budget over 10M€.
I worked for the Research and Innovation Service and my main tasks were: • Maintain a high level of knowledge in relation to regulations, procedures and funding mechanisms in relation to EU Framework Seven, primarily within the ‘Cooperation’ pillar of FP7, as well as infrastructure funding. • Providing timely, specialist and nuanced advice to all key actors within the University • Co-present at events to raise awareness for support offered to Leeds academics leading a FP7 collaborative proposal • Pro-active matching of individual academics or research groups at the University with specific activities or themes aligning to their areas of interest and in particular raising awareness of EU funding opportunities to those with no prior experience • Identify and approach champions to take bids forward, providing succinct information on the schemes and supporting the bid development process by agreeing timetables and schedules for work to be completed • Assist with the assembly of a credible team of researchers, both internally and externally, for identified proposal opportunities • Finding suitable sources for identifying external partners through existing and new networks (e.g. cultivating links with pan-European industrialists and matching them to Leeds academics) • Provide hands on support for applicants, • Assistance with proposal writing • Assistance with costing proposals across the consortium • Attend proposal preparation meetings for Leeds led bids and provide advice and support in relation to how such meetings should be structured • Oversee arrangements for internal peer review of submissions by exploiting Leeds academics who have acted as FP7 evaluators • Liaise closely with key external FP7 contacts, including the UK Research Office, National Contact Points and relevant Scientific Officers within the European Commission • Embed good practices • As a member of the Funding Development team, contribute to regular team meetings, assessing team objectives
