Responsible for the advancement of case management, community-focused programming, and supportive direct community services at The Center. This includes planning, implementation, and delivery of the spectrum of community and survivor services at The Center, which encompass individual advocacy, public benefits navigation, emotional support and accompaniment, financial assistance, service referrals, group-based interventions, among others . These services seek to improve the offerings of targeted, empirically proven healing services to LGB, TGNC, POC, and Immigrant survivors of crime and violent crime, providing trauma-informed care to these survivors, developing programming, administrative, data/reporting, and networking needs. The Community Casework Manager supervises the Case Management and Insurance Navigation teams in the provision of the above mentioned survivor support services
• Plan and execute a comprehensive Census Engagement Action Plan, which includes facilitating internal and external census educational info-sessions, trainings, and related community-wide events • Manage, train and develop Census team’s outreach and facilitation strategies, and daily operations; design content and community engagement activities through racial justice and gender equity lenses • Enter and analyze weekly field data to track performance and effectiveness, provide data-informed recommendations for improving/enhancing practices, draft biweekly reports for NYC funders and grant’s managers
• Co-write, edit, and translate (Spanish/English) documents, memos and reports for international campaigns and social movements regarding human rights violations in Venezuela such as #YoDenuncio and #QueHayaJusticia • Coordinated charity projects such as donation drives of medical and school supplies, clothing, and toys for low-income and rural schools as well as for hospitals treating pediatric cancer patients in Venezuela • Provide logistical support in organizing public cultural events, immigration forums, assemblies and academic panel discussions in partnership with other organizations, universities, human rights activists, and law firms
