I have a keen interest in banking and finance law, and I am eager to contribute to innovative legal solutions while gaining hands-on experience in these fields.
During my tenure as Vice President of the Human Capital Department at ALSA Malaysia in 2024, I had the privilege of leading a dedicated team to successfully execute key initiatives such as the ALSA Malaysia Officer Program (AMOP), ALSA Malaysia Shadow Program (AMSP), National Board Recruitment, and the National Board Training Sessions. We also introduced the Complaint and Feedback Systems to enhance member welfare and engagement. Balancing these responsibilities with my CLP preparations was challenging but rewarding. I learned to manage my time effectively, lead a team towards achieving shared goals, and implement systems that prioritise community well-being. This experience honed my leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills while strengthening my resilience.
During my time as a Legal Intern in the Financial Services Department at Shearn Delamore & Co., I had the privilege of contributing to various projects that sharpened both my legal research and analytical skills. I conducted in-depth analyses of reverse inquiries under the Capital Markets and Services Act (CMSA), researched the evolving regulatory landscape of digital assets and Initial Exchange Offerings (IEOs), and reviewed Bank Negara Malaysia’s guidelines on debit card compliance. One particular highlight was assisting in the creation of an infographic outlining Digital Insurers and Takaful Operators (DITOs) licence application procedures—an exercise that strengthened my ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. This experience deepened my understanding of banking, finance, and corporate law, enhanced my research and analytical skills, and reinforced my passion for pursuing a career in these sectors.
Possessing substantive legal internship experience with a specialisation in conveyancing, I conducted thorough legal research, prepared concise summaries, and actively contributed to the development of case strategies, with a primary focus on conveyancing files. Additionally, I actively engaged in researching cases, diligently analysing legal precedents, and drafting a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence. Throughout this experience, I diligently developed robust research, communication, and organisational skills, gaining practical insights into the legal profession. I honed my ability to navigate complex legal scenarios and strengthened my capacity to contribute effectively within the legal team. My demonstrated commitment to accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks has significantly contributed to a comprehensive understanding of various areas of law.
