With a person-centered, holistic approach, I specialize in helping people to find purpose and meaning in life, to gain insight and responsibility, and to navigate life’s transitions. Whether that’s challenges in a relationship, your career/education, or one of life’s many stressors, together we can find a way through. My approach to therapy is simple: change occurs in the safety of a genuine connection. I view my role as a therapist as that of a guide or coach. Therapy is a journey we walk together. By working with you, as a whole person, we can find the answers that will help you lead a more fulfilling life. My greatest sense of fulfillment comes in helping others develop their voice and overcome their challenges. I can help you with: -Finding purpose and meaning -Building confidence -Living authentically -Relationship Challenges -Career Transitions -Grief and Loss I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) in practice since 2009. I received my Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University in Southern California. I have completed Level 1 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and utilize the Gottman Method in my work. I have certifications in clinical mediation and drug and alcohol counseling. I started my private practice because I was looking for more. After thirteen years working in community mental health, I wanted to do more than worksheets and manualized care. As an introvert I have always loved deep and meaningful conversation. I want to truly get to know another person’s experience— to cultivate connection. Having my own practice also allows me to have better work life balance. Outside of my practice, I enjoy reading, traveling with my dog, eating good food, and drinking good wine. I am set to open my private practice, Genuine Talk Therapy, in January 2023 and will be able to provide individual and couples therapy services to those residing in California and Washington via a secure, HIPAA compliant telehealth platform.
I created my practice for those who, like me, are looking for more. My clients come to me feeling lost or like something is missing; sometimes with a side of depression and/or anxiety. We work together to identify what YOU want for YOUR life and what steps YOU need to take to get there.
