• Design and generation of antigens, monospecific and bispecific antibodies • Large-scale optimisation of lead antibodies with antibody engineering strategies (Site-directed mutagenesis, Fc conversion, Humanisation etc.) to enhance affinity, stability and minimize immunogenicity • Large-scale mammalian cell transfection and purification of antibodies • Characterisation of antibodies' biological and physico-chemical properties through Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC), Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) assay, Thermal Shift Assay etc. • Worked closely with unit members to ensure progression and completion of projects • Ensured detailed and accurate documentation of data for facilitation of information transfer across local units and countries
Characterised the molecular mechanisms of a novel cancer drug in human cancer cell lines • Extract, isolate & purify RNA samples (Magnetic Bead-based) • Quality control on RNA samples (Agilent Tapestation, Qubit RNA Assay Kit) • Process & analyze RNA-Seq data using Qiagen CLC Genomic Workbench & Ingenuity Pathway Analysis • Integrate software-predicted pathways with the available scientific studies
Piloted a research project which first studied a magnetotactic bacterial strain and ciliated protozoa in Singapore. • Optimized the growth of microaerobic bacteria and its magnetic responses • Maintained bacterial strain using anaerobic microbiology techniques (Anaerobic chamber, media preparation & subculturing) • Prepared microscopy samples for confocal microscopy by chemical immobilization & fluorescent staining • Microscopy image processing with Zeiss Efficient Navigation Pro software
Assisted in an experimental dermatology research on understanding molecular skin receptors in relation to human hair growth cycle • Paraffin-processed & immuno-stained human skin samples for microscopy • Designed & synthesised RNA-probes for Fluorescent in situ Hybridisation
