I am a recent graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, sitting for the July 2026 Bar Exam. My professional interests include litigation and soft intellectual property, with a focus on how these areas shape liability and business operations within the hospitality and retail sectors. My Law Review Note, which was selected for first-round publication, examines the USPTO's authority to promulgate rules that substantively impact the lives of trademark and patent applicants. In my free time, I am either training for my next race or eating my way through New York City's restaurant scene.Prior to pursuing law, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Ohio State University, where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minors in Mandarin and International Business.
As Professor Rudenstine's sole research assistant, I edited and proposition-checked his 327-page forthcoming book manuscript, under contract with the Harvard Press, on former Supreme Court Chief Justice Charles Evans Hughes's contributions to First Amendment law. I conducted multiple rounds of review on the entire manuscript, both above-the-line and below-the-line. I also advocated substantive revisions to strengthen doctrinal clarity and argument.
Researched intellectual property’s role in facilitating immersive co-creation, including how authorship is defined for copyright protection, for Professor Burstein to use in writing his Law Review Article.
Worked with cross-company teams to manage the full spectrum of day-to-day legal and operational matters for a growing corporation in the fast-paced consumer products industry. Key responsibilities included: drafting and negotiating multimillion-dollar vendor agreements with Fortune 500 partners and celebrity brands; reviewing and negotiating commercial leases and advising corporate executives on lease obligations and risk exposure; leading due diligence efforts and coordinating closing process for a corporate restructuring; advising corporate executives on liquor and labor law compliance; and prosecuting intellectual property matters and drafting strategic cease-and-desist letters.
Represented a retail investor through all stages of arbitration before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) by drafting the Statement of Claim, preparing and examining two expert witnesses, and presenting Regulation Best Interest arguments. Translated complex regulatory standards into five clear, compelling claims to advance the client’s position. Advocated for other clients in FINRA arbitration on matters involving violations of FINRA and SEC rules and regulations. My responsibilities included evaluating cases, case management, conducting discovery, researching attendant legal issues, preparing opening statements and closing arguments, and conducting direct and cross examination for expert witnesses.
