As the Afrikaans teacher I do lesson planning for different age groups in the classroom. Each of these learners have different needs and goals that has to be met thus the planning has to ensure that these needs and goals are met. - I also plan homework activities for the learners to ensure they have grasped the concept of the lesson. - The learners require individual attention as well as group attention. It is important to divide my attention equally amongst all the learners. Each learner has a different teaching and learning style; this reflects in the planning.
As an English teacher I had to do lesson planning for multiple lessons. Each planning was done in such a manner that the learner would be stimulated by the lesson - These learners have special need thus the lesson must be planned to cater for all the learners in the class. - I have also planned homework activities for the learners that will reinforce and revise the work that has been done in class.
As an aftercare teacher I had to work out physical and intellectually stimulating activities for the learners. These activities followed the same theme that is done in class. - I worked with children that has hearing and speech difficulties, this required me to look after the children’s’ needs. - I have helped with admin and clerical work.
