As an assistant laboratory manager at National University of Singapore (NUS), I lead the development and running of the Cardiovascular Research Institute's (CVRI) blood and tissue sample repository, which serves as a vital resource for cardiovascular disease (CVD) studies conducted by internal, local, and overseas research groups. With over 13 years of laboratory experience, I have supported multiple biomarker assays and developed a new biomarker assay of a target analyte, using advanced laboratory skills and techniques.
Supports the development and running of CVRI’s (Cardiovascular Research Institute) blood and tissue sample repository which includes processing, labeling and storage along with a full documentation system for facile tracking and retrieval of blood samples from patients and control human subjects collected from NUH, SGH, TTSH, CGH, KTPH and NHC. Performed biomarker assays in support of CVD studies conducted by internal, local and overseas research groups and development of new biomarker assay of a target analyte.
Performed various stat and routine diagnostic testing on patient’s specimen, where duties are dedicated in the clinical chemistry department. Job scope includes troubleshooting and maintenance of laboratory instruments according to standard operating procedures, verification of results, recognize, document, confirm and report all critical values to physicians and nurses as appropriate.
