- Provide comprehensive speech and language services across a preschool (3 days/week) and a K-8th grade school (2 days/week) in Malden Public Schools as an integral member of the special education team - Manage a diverse pediatric caseload, delivering individual and group intervention targeting articulation, receptive and expressive language, social communication, and low to high tech AAC use - Plan and conduct three-year re-evaluations and multidisciplinary initial eligibility evaluations using standardized assessments including the CELF-5/CELF-P3, GFTA-3, CASL-2, and DAYC-2, and dynamic assessments such as the LeadersProject School Age Language Assessment Measures (SLAM) - Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to write comprehensive diagnostic reports - Collaborate with the student’s special education team to write student-specific IEPs and biannual progress reports to target academic, functional, and social-communication goals aligned with classroom objectives and MA curriculum - Participate in annual IEP, re-evaluation, and initial multidisciplinary team meetings, communicating clinical findings and collaborating with other service providers to determine appropriate accommodations and service delivery times and models
• Conducted individual swallowing therapy for post-stroke and other traumatic brain injury adult patients requiring minimal to moderate support • Observed video swallow studies (VSS) and interpreted them using the Modified Barium Swallow Impairment Profile (MBSImP) scoring system • Collaborated with other professionals in the hospital, including patient’s OT, PT, RN, MD, and primary SLP
