I am a software engineer with a passion for creating intuitive and user-friendly web applications. With experience in various programming languages such as HTML, CSS, Sass, JavaScript, React, Express, MySQL, and Agile Development, I am able to bring ideas to life in a visually appealing and functional way. I am also familiar with technologies such as the Document Object Model (DOM), APIs, User Authentication, OAuth, Heroku, GitHub, and Jest, which allows me to build robust and secure applications. My background is quite diverse, I have three years of experience in customer service as a supervisor at Subway and seven years of experience in security at the US embassy before starting my Brainstation bootcamp for software design. This experience has taught me the importance of attention to detail, clear communication and problem-solving skills. I have learned how to connect with people and understand their needs, which in turn helped me to create great customer service skills. Additionally, my time at Subway and the US Embassy has taught me the importance of being able to think on my feet and adapt to new situations quickly. I am excited to continue my career in the software engineering industry, and I am always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow. I have screened both individuals and vehicles with a variety of tools, I also logged all people and vehicles entering and exiting the premises. Coordinated with RCMP, OPP and MSG with regards to ambassador activities and security. Worked security for many events taking place at both the embassy and the Ambassador’s residence. I have also had to deal with unstable individuals trying to gain access to the embassy.

My responsibilities included but were not limited to opening the store (baking bread, cookies, pies, etc…), counting the cash and making bank runs. I conducted interviews and training for new employees, delegated work to fellow employees to ensure everything ran smoothly, I also cleaned and made sandwiches as well as dealt with customer complaints.
