Acquisition Lead the acquisition of library resources by acquiring, evaluating, and selecting materials that meet the SUTD’s curriculum, research needs, and interests in self-directed learning • Manage the resource expenses of library resources which include database subscriptions, books, serials and media. • Review, enhance and streamline ACQ policies and work processes to achieve higher productivity and efficiency. • Manage and train the acquisition team to work efficiently and effectively. • Collaborates closely with the Collection Development team to develop comprehensive content to support SUTD. • Negotiate contracts and costs, monitor vendor performance, and resolve any issues related to the acquisition process. • Explore Transformative Agreements with publishers. Electronic Resource Management Description Manage the lifecycle of electronic resources within the library. They Ensure efficient acquisition, licensing, access, and organization of electronic resources, while also providing user support, data analysis, and collaboration to maximize the value and usability of these resources for library users. Description Lead Patron Services to ensure a smooth and efficient circulation process for library users. • Manage Circulation policies and procedures. • Manage Counter duties and share timely updates to ensure library staff are equipped with the necessary knowledge to service library users. • Maintenance of physical collection and housekeeping matters. • Oversee the management of student librarians
• Develop strategic plans and policies to enhance library services and user experience. Adopted a data-driven approach to simplify policies using tableau, without compromising uses’ needs. • Drive digital transformation by leveraging technologies to achieve continuous improvement. Successfully implemented several digitalization projects such as integrated library management system with PayNow, use of live chat solution to allow instant conversation with a librarian remotely, etc. • Purchase services/equipment and oversee contract management to ensure contractual deliverables are fulfilled. • Oversee circulation related functions in Library Management System. Performed two successful rounds of system migrations. • Hire, train, and coach a team of 4 executives to deliver quality services effectively. Mitigated users’ complaints effectively and halted the problem escalation to higher management. • Provide training to 30 library staff, equip them with the necessary knowledge to serve users efficiently. • Oversee facilities management includes space planning. • Appoint as Work Safety and Health (WSH) Chairman represent Library, participate in the campus-level committee.
