To manage and lead buying team to continuously improve ranges and promotions, ensuring sales margin targets are hit and then exceeded. Responsible to trade a defined category to make changes to the offer depending on sales and profit performance within a buying plan to support the delivery of the customer plan and customer promises of ‘I can get what I want’ and ‘The prices are good’. Leverage existing suppliers and coaching buying team to find new sources. Lead complex negotiation with suppliers, negotiates to achieve ‘buy for less’ and ‘sell for less’ plans to continually drive down costs for our customers. Improve the capability of buying team and create values. Regular store visits to understand internal customers and external competitor’s activities
