Jeshua Daniel Jimenez is a student at Fordham University pursuing a double major in Political Science and International Studies on a Pre-Law track. His academic and professional interests focus on criminal defense, housing justice, and expanding equitable access to legal representation for underserved communities. Jeshua currently works with Lincoln Square Legal Services, where he assists with legal research, case preparation, and client support. In Summer 2026, he will serve as a Hope Reichbach Fellow with Brooklyn Defender Services, after being selected as one of only five fellows from a highly competitive applicant pool. At Fordham, Jeshua serves as Vice President of the Model United Nations team, where he has developed experience in crisis simulation, diplomacy, negotiation, and public speaking. He is also a recipient of the MacLean Scholarship, a competitive Fordham scholarship established to support high-achieving students with financial need and strengthen student engagement and leadership on campus. Driven by a passion for justice and systemic reform, Jeshua aspires to pursue a career in criminal defense and advocate for a more equitable legal system.
As a Hope Reichbach Fellow at Brooklyn Defender Services, I work hands-on alongside staff attorneys across the criminal defense practice, including in immigration and family defense court proceedings. I support the delivery of zealous legal representation to indigent clients while gaining direct exposure to public defense advocacy, case strategy, and the intersection of criminal, immigration, and family law in one of New York City's premier public defender offices.
Serve as Vice President of the Model United Nations team, helping oversee organizational operations, member development, and strategic planning. Coordinate conference preparation, support training for delegates in research, public speaking, negotiation, and parliamentary procedure, and assist in managing recruitment, event planning, and internal communications. Collaborate with executive board members to foster an engaging and academically rigorous environment for members while promoting diplomacy, leadership, and global affairs education.
Serving as a crisis delegate, managing rapidly changing scenarios through strategic thinking, negotiation, and directive writing. Collaborated under pressure to influence outcomes and respond to complex political and security challenges in real time.
Treasurer for the Fordham's Model United Nations team at Lincoln Center, responsible for managing the organization’s annual operating budget and ensuring financial support for team conferences and travel. Oversaw budget planning, expense tracking, and reimbursement processes; coordinated funding requests and student government allocations; and collaborated with the executive board to support strategic planning and sustainable resource management. Led fundraising initiatives and improved financial transparency to make conference participation more accessible for team members.
As a student worker at the Fordham Law Clinic, I am gaining hands-on legal experience by performing legal research, assisting in case preparation, and interacting with clients via email and phone. I work under the supervision of experienced attorneys, helping with court filings, client communication, and legal advocacy.
Working as a campaign fellow for Antonio Reynoso’s congressional campaign, supporting grassroots organizing through voter outreach, canvassing, and community engagement to strengthen civic participation in NY-07.
