London Area, United Kingdom
Based at Imperial College London’s Hamlyn Centre for Robotic Surgery, I work alongside a medtech startup that recently raised £1.28M to advance hyperspectral imaging (HSI) in surgery. I conduct clinical market and competitor analysis, and develop real-world use cases to support strategic direction and product fit.
In this role, I work collaboratively with fellow members, NHS England teams, and policy leads to influence national decision-making on the issues that matter most to young people. This ranges from mental health and accessibility, to digital inclusion and tackling health inequalities. My responsibilities include co-producing national resources, representing youth perspectives at events, gathering insight through peer engagement, and contributing to working groups that directly inform NHS strategies. This experience is not only developing my confidence, communication, and leadership skills, but is also giving me the opportunity to make a meaningful difference at the heart of the NHS.
Undertaking my clinical years in Medical School in the Southwest has been a rightfully challenging and thoroughly rewarding experience. Primarily, my clinical placements have been split between the University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust and the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. The number of core skills — both professionally and personally — I’ve been able to develop over these years have entirely changed my worldview and allowed me to grow and up-skill exponentially. Learning about the story of patients, advocating for patient-centred care and meeting the cavalcade of experienced and inspiring physicians along the way has been an incredible journey. I'll be returning to my final year of clinical placement in 2025, before starting my Foundation Programme as a resident doctor.
Representing the Faculty of Brain Sciences (FBRS) to prospective students, current students, and industry partners through campus tours, Q&A sessions, and events. I provide insights to help new students navigate university life and assist with content creation for social media to showcase student experiences and faculty achievements. Additionally, I help organise events like workshops and guest lectures, which deepen my understanding of brain sciences and strengthen my communication, leadership, and organisational skills while building connections across the academic and professional community.
I had the privilege of moderating and VeltaNova’s launch event, 'The Future of Digital Technology in Healthcare', held on 16 May 2025 at IDEALondon. This event convened leaders from healthtech, venture capital, and clinical innovation to explore transformative trends in AI, diagnostics, longevity, and patient-first platforms. As Panel Moderator, I facilitated a dynamic discussion featuring some brilliant minds working in and around medtech and consumer healthtech. Our conversation delved into the future of healthcare, focusing on the integration of AI, emerging digital health technologies such as digital twinning, the importance of team building in healthcare enterprise, women's health and much more. This experience enhanced my skills in public speaking, event management, and stakeholder collaboration, aligning with my commitment to advancing digital innovation in healthcare.
An enthusiastic team comprised of other young professionals and I undertook the LBS HTC 2025. In this hands-on founding experience, we developed the idea for CareLinked and collaborated actively with key stakeholders and end-users. We focused on the issue of delayed discharge for medically fit for discharge (MFFD) patients in geriatrics and palliative care, producing a digital platform for streamlined transfer of care between the point-of-care and care/nursing homes.
