Jerry formed The Reinhart Group Ltd. in 1998 to serve as a real estate investment, executive management, and real estate and business advisory services firm headquartered in Birmingham, Michigan. Through TRG, he, together with two other principals, founded PRS Equities Limited (f/k/a Pomeroy Investment Corporation), a commercial real estate and asset management firm with an institutional-quality portfolio of assets located in several states. As CEO of PRS for over 12 years, Jerry charted the direction of the firm’s investment and development strategy, acquiring, developing, and managing a diversified portfolio of properties in several asset classes, including, office, industrial, multifamily, hospitality, senior living, aviation, condominium conversions and urban redevelopment mixed-use projects having an asset value in excess of $500 million. Many projects undertaken by PRS involved substantial rehabilitation and/or redevelopment of commercial and residential properties. Through TRG, Jerry has also consulted on numerous business reorganizations, loan restructurings, portfolio refinancings, commercial and residential insurance claims, and turnaround and recapitalization transactions for third party clients. Prior to 1998, Jerry was a shareholder in the Detroit-based commercial law firm of Jaffe, Raitt, Heuer & Weiss, where he focused primarily on business planning, mergers and acquisitions, complex real estate development and financing transactions, insurance matters, and commercial lending and loan restructurings, closing in excess of $1 billion in deals on both the buy and sell sides. Before practicing law, Jerry was a CPA with Coopers and Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) acting in a supervisory role for banking, manufacturing, real estate financing and development, and municipal government clientele. He is also a licensed builder and real estate broker. Jerry received a BS from Michigan State University (Accounting) in 1984 and a JD from Wayne State University in 1989.
As founder of a commercial real estate investment, asset management, brokerage, and business advisory services firm, Jerry is principally involved in real estate and business investment, redevelopment and rehabilitation (including historical rehabilitation) activities as well as providing consulting, turnaround, asset planning, financing, insurance claims settlement, business and loan restructuring and temporary executive management advisory services on an engaged basis. He is also a principal in TRG Law PLLC, a corporate and business planning, mergers & acquisitions, and commercial real estate transactions law practice with considerable experience in real estate finance, business start ups and turnarounds, asset and loan restructurings, and tax and asset planning. TRG’s practice is also supported by an experienced, captive commercial litigation, bankruptcy, creditor’s rights and estate planning group on an of-counsel basis.

Company also held investments in manufacturing and aviation concerns.

Led and supported efforts to negotiate and close in excess of $1 billion of M&A and complex real estate, financing and loan restructuring transactions. Often partnered with firm founder on lead negotiations for several critical, large business transactions. Client base was principally comprised of entrepreneurs and commercial financial institutions.
