He led the development of the Self-Assessment Methodology, its subsequent enhancement to SAM+, and the broader evolution of thinking on maturity and its assessment, thus paving the way for additional tools and techniques. Jerry's active involvement extends across many other areas of IAM work, covering SSG's, AMP reviews, conference organising. His collaboration with the Asset Management Council Australia stands out, particularly as a UK Group Leader for the GFMAM Landscape and IAM Anatomy 2nd Editions. In recognition of his service to the IAM, Jerry was honoured with the President's Award in 2018, highlighting his exceptional dedication and contributions to Asset Management. Having held many executive and senior management positions, Jerry has outstanding leadership qualities, and with demonstrable global experience across multiple sectors is accomplished in ensuring best practices are developed and maintained. With an entrepreneurial but collaborative style, Jerry is credible at all levels. Jerry was instrumental in introducing the Asset Management discipline into the GCC having successfully transformed several major infrastructure organisations, one of which became the first GCC utility to achieve PAS 55 accreditation and subsequently one of the first ISO 55001 certified companies worldwide. Furthermore, Jerry led the first Asset Management project in Azerbaijan, a significant part of the second largest World Bank project in the CIS at the time, and he spearheaded the initial Asset Management System project in the Romanian Power Sector. These international endeavours underscore Jerry's far-reaching influence in advancing the discipline on a global scale.
