Jérôme started dancing with 11 at the Académie de Montignies-sur-Sambre and studied 2 years at the Royal ballet school in Antwerp. He began his dance career with Daniela Kurz in Nuremberg. After engagements at Staatstheater Kassel and Mainfrankentheater Würzburg he became freelance dancer and choreographer. During his active dance career he has been working with different choreographers like William Forsythe, Hans Henning Paar, Birgit Scherzer, Youri Vàmos and others. After an intensive workshop with Royston Maldoom he got involved in different youth dance projects with amateurs and professionals worldwide known as Community Dance. Some highlights have been the collaboration with Guido Markowitz in “And so what?!”, a youth dance production with amateurs and professionals and the Big Band Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt/Main 2010 and the organisation of the dance festival “Würzburg tanzt!” in 2011. Since 2012 he is back in Belgium and is bringing his experiences to his home country by giving workshops and dance courses for classical and contemporary (Limon based) dance. I returned to Belgium after having a 15 year long active dance career as soloist in different companies Germany and as well as freelance dancer all over Europe. Since 2012 I have been working with different private and public dance schools and different academies in Wallonie. Currently engaged with art-t Brussels and working on own productions.
