Accomplishments/Essential Duties/Functions: Holding a New Jersey School Social Worker Certification, and LSW mandates high-quality, data-driven, interventions to support students on caseload of 50-75 to meet and/or surpass their individualized goals. As a Child Study Team (CST) case manager, must conduct social history assessments, schedules, and facilitates CST meetings for caseload. Collaborates with network Director of SPED (Special Education) and SEL (Social Emotional Learning) to implement the Englewood SPED and SEL model in the school. Facilitates staff trainings in the areas of child development, behavior best practices, and SEL competencies etc. Provides Tier 2 & 3 individual and group counseling services to students identified through the Intervention & Referral Services (IR&S) process. Conducts functional behavior assessments and develops behavior intervention plans; supports staff in implementation and overseeing progress monitoring. Provides crisis intervention services such as suicide risk assessments as necessary. Connects students and families to supports and services with outside agencies to collaborate and ensure quality and continuity of education. Serves as the school HIB coordinator and investigator. Works with 50-75 parents to facilitate their support in their children's school adjustment. Helps to alleviate family stress so that children can function more effectively in school & community. Assists parents to access and utilize a multitude of free and comprehensive social, school and community resources. Provides staff with essential information to better understand factors (cultural, societal, economic, familial, health, etc.) affecting a student’s performance and behavior. Assists in developing and implementing educational programs for children for exceptional children. Develops alternative programs for dropouts, truants, delinquents, etc. Identifies and reports child abuse and neglect.
