As a Drug Safety and Medical Information Specialist at Roche I am responsible for providing accurate medical information to doctors, pharmacists and patients about Roche's products in the Netherlands. In addition, I am responsible for timely and accurate reporting of adverse events for Roche's products in the Netherlands. As a (Senior) Scientific Information Specialist at Elsevier I was working for PharmaPendium and Reaxys Medicinal Chemistry databases to ensure the high quality of these products. As a PhD student at the Hubrecht Institute I planned and performed multiple successful independent research projects, guided several students and initiated collaborations within and outside of the university campus.
o Act as a subject matter specialist for supplier audit o Aiding product development from a scientific content perspective o Perform QC/QA on several products including: Reaxys Medicinal Chemistry, PharmaPendium and Embase o Training of suppliers for the excerption of pharmacological data from regulatory documents and original articles o Contribute to the improvement of the QA process o Contribute to the refinement of excerption guidelines o Act as a first contact for excerption and QA queries
Investigated the role of tyrosine phosphorylation signaling in a zebrafish model for Noonan and LEOPARD syndrome. o Performing literature research o Devising and setting up new experiments o Performing experiments o Training of MSc and BSc students o Analyzing and interpreting data o Presenting findings at internal meetings and international conferences o Writing scientific papers o Setting up and maintaining collaborations with other researchers Techniques used: micro-injections, mass spectrometry, cell culture, western blotting, in vitro transcription, cloning, confocal microscopy. During my PhD I also guided three students (two BSc one MSc). In addition I was part of the personnel committee organizing lab outings and drinks. I received my Doctorate degree on the 15th of October 2014.
