My workfield is organizational change en new business development. I work in different roles. As a project manager, consultant or as trainer/coach In my vision cooperative competition is a basic necessity for a sustainable society. I found that most people somehow recognize that need but that it is not always clear how to act. That is where my focus is when I work with and in organizations. Discover the patterns that hinder and the ones that reinforce the purpose of the organization. Once you find these together with the people that have to realize the change, you can help them deal with them differently. From that point you only have to get out of the way. Specialties: organizing as an expression of meaning, systemic organization constellations, Theory U, cooperative strategy, action consulting, Open Space/ World Cafe conferences
After developing an action program together with the stakeholders of the Platform, I was asked to lead the execution of this program aimed at preventing crimes against companies. This means working together with people from the businesses, Public Prosecutors, Police, municipalities, communication professionals et cetera. We managed to find funding for the program as well and are well on our way in realizing the goals that were set.
Together with Dr. Peter Berends I teach 'Leading Strategic Change'. The course is part of the modular MBA-program. We use Theory U developed by Otto Scharmer at MIT, as a framework for developing leadership in disruptive organisational settings. The program is build on experienced-based learning: first do, then reflect and put into a framework. We link specific awareness and behavioral exercises to leadership practice. The program combines residential weeks and teamwork with individual coaching.
I'm specialized in setting up co-operative networks that work :). For the past few years I have been working as a project-or program-manager for several networks. The question in most cases was: 'We want to work together, we see the necessity to do so but how to get started?' At an executive level a decision to co-operate has a different form and impact than on a executional level. I connect those levels and help these co-operations realize their goals and the intention with which they were set up.
The PVO-platform has been working on increasing cyberawareness within SME-companies since 2015. In 2018 we joined forces with the Brightlands Smart Services Campus and the result was the Expertisecentrum Cyberweerbaarheid, a not-for-profit organisation that focuses on increasing the awareness as well as the actual safety-level of SME-companies to the next level. We offer risk-audits for SME's, training materials for personnel, peer-to-peer exchange of cyber experiences and we organize small and big events for SME-companies. My job is to start up the organisation with all the partners involved.
The Team Academy is the future of education today! Together with a group of co-entrepreneurs in the educational field we visited it in 2016 in Bilbao, Spain. It is experience-based learning about innovation and entrepreneurship to the fullest. Founded it in 1992 in Finland and taken to Spain in 2008 it now is in 8 countries worldwide. Students found and run their own company as a team and in doing so in different countries they build knowledge, experience and they create knew connections throughout the world. In 2017 we decided to bring this to the Netherlands and especially the Euregion. My role is to coach student teams and train other coaches. Next to that I did the financial management. However, by the end 2019 we decided that setting up a separate branche in Maastricht was not going to work economically. So we decided to merge the activities in Maastricht with the TeamAcademy in Amsterdam and we closed down the Maastricht-branche.
