Led special projects for and on the behalf of senior NASA leadership, such as advancing space nuclear power and propulsion, improving imagery and communications for human spaceflight, and reducing the risks from orbital debris. My responsibilities ranged from programming statistical models to leading cross-agency initiatives.
Serving as a Federal employee in the Office of Technology, Policy, and Strategy.
Lead data scientist on a six-person team developing analytic products for the U.S. National Guard, including a suite of tools for states and territories to understand and prevent destructive behaviors. Also led the development and maintenance work for EpiMaps.
Worked as a researcher and data scientist supporting the Marine Corps Directorate of Analytics & Performance Optimization, where our mission was to use integrated analytics and cross functional research to optimize warfighter and organizational performance.
Conducted policy studies in science and technology areas across the Federal government, mainly the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. I worked primarily on space and aerospace related issues such as space nuclear power and propulsion, planetary protection, commercial supersonics, and sUAS. Across these projects I was able to lead teams of researchers, first-author large reports, contribute to several Presidential Directives or National Space Policies, lead briefings to executive schedule-grade government leaders, and much more.
