Singapore
Hi, I am Jeremy! I am a Engineering Sophomore at National University of Singapore. I recently graduated as the Valedictorian of my Diploma in Aerospace Engineering course in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. My interest in engineering came from machines and the systems that enable smooth transportation on land, air, and at sea. My passion in transportation networks and curiosity on how things works fueled my passion in this field of engineering. In addition, my diploma studies armed me with knowledge and skills on engineering structures and design. Some notable courses in university where I have gained useful knowledge includes Enginering modelling, and Quantitative Data Reasoning. I am a very driven, objective-oriented person, sharp, and attentive to details. A never give-up attitude, responsible, striving for excellence, good team player and discipline keeps me going and soar for greater heights. My passion in engineering will continue to drive me to better. Let's connect and make the world a safe and interesting place to work in!

I helped oversee the implementation of Net-Inspect together with my colleagues. I also worked with my colleagues on an ACE (Achieving Competitive Excellence) Project. The purpose of this project is to reduce cost, and improve certain process flows within the workstation. Together as a team, we achieved first place in the Lean Leadership Week. Other projects included a Frozen Process Parts Review, and a LC1C Project which involved the changing of gages in the calibration laboratory. I also assisted in the production documents in the plant. This included FAIs, PPAP documents, and even checking of gages using Indysoft tools. I also assisted in the various quality reports such as the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) report, Tier 3 Quality Notification (QN) report, Quality Improvement Committee (QIC) report, and Scrap, Repair, and Rework (SRR) report. Together with the team, I reduced the open QN aging days by close to 180 days over a eight month period. Furthermore, there were no major escapes which happened in the plant over the past eight months. Together with the training school department, we revised some of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) to drive continuous improvement and also streamline several processes. I had the opportunity to mentor several new engineers and interns to ensure continuity. Major Achievements: • Successfully implemented an ACE Project to reduce cost, improve process workflow. Won first place for the team • Achieved zero escapes for the past eight months • Reduce open QN aging days by 180 days • Work with programmers to revamp COP system for audit findings, review, and training school records
Experienced a 22 week internship attachment with Collins Aerospace, Quality Department. Some of the Job Roles are as follow: • Assist Quality Engineer in day-to-day activities. • Work on Quality Reports (Tier 4, Quality Improvement Community, QN Report, and Quality Clinic Metrix Chart) • Creating First Article Inspection (FAI), Statistical FAI and Delta FAI forms into AS9102 standard • Assist in creating a Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) document for new parts, or parts undergoing revision change • Assist in raising Purge Request, attend to customer returned parts • Attend to critical (ICU) parts which required attention and/or follow up by QE engineers, DIVE Report • Oversaw the implementation of Net-Inspect at Collins Aerospace, Bedok Plant • Assist in one-off tasks such as Corrective Actions collation for Year 2021 to reduce COPQ, Flight Safety Parts • Assist in administrative tasks such as training school daily operations, ad-hoc tasks in company operations (eg. Meals, Job Fairs) • Create several user guides on SAP, Discus, and Net-Inspect portals for future intern and QE usage • External courses (eg. MSOC) • Assist in completing an internal audit for the company in preparation for an external audit Major Achievements: • No major findings detected in company external audits (e.g. NADCAP) • Achieved zero escapes for the past six months • Reduce open QN aging days by 150 days • Successfully implemented Net-Inspect, other SEA plants follow suit Through this internship, I learnt how to work together as a team with colleagues from different backgrounds and cultures. I also learnt how to be teachable to others as I taught others various tasks as part of handing over. I also learnt to take the initiative, be proactive, and be responsible for this internship. I went the extra mile to further understand the company's and shopfloor operations. I applied my Six Sigma and Lean methodologies skills into my tasks in the quality department.
I trained with Singapore Youth Flying Club as a student pilot. My various achievements included: • Completing Basic Flying Course Phase 1 • Completing Basic Flying Course Phase 2 • Completing First Solo Flight around Singapore aerodrome • Recommended for Private Pilot License (PPL) course
