Obtained Tertiary Education in Auckland, completing a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Auckland with a double major in Commercial Law (Taxation) and Accounting. Subsequently worked for two and a half years as a Tax Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers, before taking a hiatus to travel, then continuing my career with BDO in Christchurch, working within the Business Advisory Service (BAS) department for a year and a half. During my experiences in Christchurch, I made the decision to take a proper break from the accounting profession and seek out other experiences by moving to Canada for two years to work and travel. In this time I've sought out and worked in mostly hospitality and trade based roles in the greater Vancouver area, predominantly associated within the ski and travel industry.
