About

I specialise in dispute avoidance and resolution and have extensive experience of resolving disputes on complex, high dollar value construction, energy and infrastructure projects in Australia and internationally through mediation, arbitration, adjudication and litigation. I am recognised in Who’s Who Legal as a leading construction lawyer, Euromoney's Expert Guides as a leading construction lawyer and in the Best Lawyers in Australia for Litigation. While based in Dubai and Singapore I was recommended in Legal 500 in 2016, 2018 and 2019 (for Dispute Resolution and Construction in the United Arab Emirates and International Arbitration in Singapore) and individually ranked in Chambers & Partners (Chambers Global 2016, 2017 and 2018) for Construction Dispute Resolution in the United Arab Emirates. I advise on contentious and non-contentious construction, energy and infrastructure matters throughout the entire project life cycle. I have extensive experience with major standard forms of contract (including FIDIC and AS contracts) and regularly advise on all types of dispute resolution, with significant experience as counsel in international arbitration (ad hoc & institutional including ICC, LCIA, SCC, DIAC, SIAC and ADCCAC). My qualifications include: Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of Australia Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland Solicitor Advocate (Civil Higher Rights) - England and Wales Barrister - England and Wales (I currently practise as an English qualified Solicitor Advocate rather than as a barrister) Registered Foreign Lawyer - Hong Kong Member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn Member of the LCIA User’s Council Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) Member of the Society of Construction Law (Australian and Hong Kong branches) Member of the Association of International Energy Negotiators
